Nude pictures of an Elf

Hey all,

Today I have my first ELF nail polish to show ye. I know they are on the cheaper side but I never think to get a bottle. This is mainly down to the fact we don't have them in Ireland so I'd have to order them online. Given their brush I have to admit I was wary. Thankfully they turned out to be far better than expected. This is simply called "Nude". Not very original but it's better than a number!

The formula was really good. 2 coats gave perfect coverage. It dried very quickly which I am delighted about because I adore the colour. It has a touch of pink in it and it just looks so good. I'm tempted to say it's my favourite nude nail polish. I had a decent collection of nudes but this is pretty gorgeous.

I need to google some more swatches of ELF nail polishes. I know they do a fair load of discounts and free shipping days so I want to be prepared for the next one :P ELF are also cruelty-free so that is a huge plus in my books.

  1. Such a perfect nude polish! I have some of elf's cosmetics (their brushes are fab too) but haven't tried their polish yet.

    1. It's really good, the brush isn't amazing but far better than many other higher end brands so I can't really complain.

  2. Ooh, I haven't tried any of their rectangular bottled polishes yet. I tried one of their gimmicky snake skin themed round bottles I found at Target last year I think and that smelled too badly for me to actually use.

    1. I didn't really notice a strong smell off of these thankfully. Definitely check them out! The other ones sound nasty :/

  5. You tease! That's a lovely colour, I only have one elf polish (Innocent) and I hate it, it was patchy and yuck. It put me off ordering any more, if they had more interesting colours or effects I might give them a go again - I think they've changed their formula since I ordered mine, it was a good 3 years ago.

    1. ha! I'm loving how many people wanted to see a nude elf ;) I think they change their formula a fair but. It's very hard to keep track of what they are doing

  6. lol @ that title! :D
The polish is quite pretty, but it seems like it's missing some nail art/stamping :D I know, I know, we can't always be running around with such "loud" colours and all.
I have 2 of their polishes, I like them OK, but be sure to see as many swatches as possible - I didn't, lol, though I normally do, so now I have a reddish-brown "plum" (???) & and their "(punk) purple" is basically a dark-ish fuschia (I still like them both, just wasn't what I was expecting).

    1. haha I'm glad so many people like it :P Oh I know what you mean, the names can be hugely misleading which is a shame. It's one reason why I check swatches of every polish I buy just to be on the safe side. It's annoying but it has to be done

  7. Mmm, such a nice quiet color. Of course I look at it and think--what a great base for glitter! :)

  10. Very pretty nude! :-) I think it is a beautiful base for some nail art, for example some white flowers :-)
