Today I have a Montagne Jeunesse review. I haven't done one of these in ages as most of the shops near me stopped stocking them. Montagne Jeunesse got in contact with my and I was sent 2 of their new masks to try out.
The first mask I tried was the 7th Heaven Black Seaweed Peel-Off mask. This contains Laver seaweed and Sea Buckthorn berries. I love peel-off masks in general so I was excited to give this one a go. This claims to be an ultra Deep Cleansing mask and it was definitely needed! I applied a thin layer all over my face and I left it for a good 30 minutes to allow it to set. You can see how thinly I applied below. This worked perfectly and I managed to get the whole thing off in one go. I would recommend keeping it a bit away from your hairline and eye-brows though. Despite being uber careful a bit got stuck to my eyebrows and I genuinely thought I had peeled them off!
I really liked this mask on the whole. I noticed a difference straight away. My skin looked more even and it was a lot softer than before. You can get 2 good uses out of a packet or 3 if you just focus it on certain areas. That's pretty good seeing as they cost around €1.99 depending on where you get them.
The next one I tried was the Brazillian Mud Fabric Masque. This mask contains Purple Brazillian mud, Acai Berries and Avocado. I've heard great things about all of these ingredients and I expected good results from this mask. This is my first time using a sheet mask and it fit me pretty well apart from around the chin. It stayed put for the whole 30 minutes I left it on (I wasn't really keeping an eye on the time!) and it was very easy to wash off the little bit of mud that stayed on my skin.
I didn't notice any difference in my skin after using this one. It was a lovely experience, I really enjoyed the way the sheet felt on my skin but once I took it off it was like I hadn't used a mask at all.
I have to say I was pretty disappointed with this one. Out of the two I'd go for the Black Seaweed peel off mask for sure.
Montagne Jeunesse are vegetarian friendly meaning they are cruelty-free which is great. You can pick up a whole variety of these masks in different scents and forms from Boots in particular and also pharmacies, Dunnes and Pennys nationwide.
They kindly provided 30 of the new masks to giveaway. The link for the giveaway is down below if you want to enter. Montagne Jeunesse will contact you if you are one of the lucky winners. Best of Luck!
